Amanda's Cruise for JA 2006

Cruising the Open Road - 2006

The goals were to enjoy ourselves and our cars, have fun and raise money for charity, and that we did.

Mother nature didn’t co-operate with us completely, but 31 participants came out on a wet Saturday Sept. 30th for the second Amanda’s Cruise for Juvenile Arthritis.

17 cars joined us for the 3 hour cruise/poker run from Cambridge to Elora, Conestogo, Breslau & returning to Cambridge. The highlight of the cruise was the drive through the Montrose covered bridge.

There was lots of fun at Shade’s Mills Conservation Area for those who didn’t take part in the cruise. A parking lot poker walk, a Toonie toss sponsored by Mr. Transmission - Cambridge, Raffle, 50/50 draw, and barbeque.

The raffle table was filled with great prizes from all of our sponsors including 1st gear sponsors Garage Power, Legendary Motorcar Company, Hitman Hot Rods (Cambridge), JC’s Restoration and Supply (Kingsville), Southern Polyurethanes Inc., The Brick Brewery & Lucas Oil Products.

At the end of the day we raised $3,000.00 for Juvenile Arthritis. More information about Juvenile Arthritis can be found at www.arthritis.ca.

Pictures of the cruise can be seen at http://ca.geocities.com/acja@rogers.com.

Thank you to all of the participants and sponsors, with out you we would never be able to have this much fun.

Cruise Director
